| The
year is 1959, and large passenger aircraft have been invented to
carry passengers across the globe. The ocean liner business is
in big trouble, but there's a mint to be made in flying
passengers domestically, and around the world. You are the CEO
of one such carrier, and it's time to get started by choosing a
home airport anywhere in the world, purchasing a plane, and
flying some passengers form one place to another. From there,
your decisions will decide whether you build you operation into
an international success story, or crash and burn into
bankruptcy. Managing a major airline is no easy task. Small
profit mar-gins, hordes of competing firms, evolving technology
and an ever-fickle public make getting ahead in the market an
elu-sive goal that only the shrewdest, most resourceful, and
most ambitious C.E.O.s can achieve. Think you got what it takes?
Well its time to start up your PDA device and find out. Airline
Manager lets you make all the decisions, from buying the
aircraft; to the destinations you'll fly them, to the quality of
service provided the passengers on the way there. You'll need to
adapt to new markets and consumer trends, and overcome pitfalls
such as worker strikes and storms. You can even choose to dabble
in some smuggling, but don't get caught! |
